What Are CEREC Same Day Dental Crowns?

CEREC is a type of dental crown that eliminates what has always been a lengthy turnaround time, and they are available at Harris Dental in Phoenix.

CEREC stand for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. We use CEREC technology to create and place a crown in one day.

How Are CEREC Crowns Made?

CEREC same day dental crowns use Computer Aided Design/ Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology and 3D imaging to create a crown that fits your tooth perfectly. A CEREC crown maintains your natural bite and gumline contours.

After taking a 3D image of your tooth with an intraoral scanner, the image is converted to a digital model with the CEREC CAD/CAM software. The digital model is delivered to the milling machine.

The crown is milled from a ceramic block, and after matching its color to your teeth, is bonded to the damaged tooth.

What Are The Benefits of CEREC Dental Crowns?

  • Restores tooth function in one dental appointment
  • Only requires one dental visit
  • Prevents potential problems with temporary crowns
  • Retains more of your existing tooth structure
  • CEREC may be more affordable than a traditional crown
  • Fit better than standard crowns

CEREC dental crowns from Harris Dental are state-of-the-art. People from Queen Creek, Scottsdale, and Mesa come to our office for them, and for other restorative dentistry. Call for an appointment with us today!
