Laser Dentistry
When looking at your smile, is there an uneven appearance or an excessive amount of gum tissue showing? If so there are a variety of factors that can cause this asymmetry of the gum tissue, simple things such as poor oral hygiene, medications and even genetics. Creating a more esthetically pleasing smile can be done simply by reconstructing the gum tissue. By using a soft tissue laser we can reshape the “frame to the painting”. Soft tissue recontouring is often utilized during porcelain veneer and crown preparations. This precise procedure is a simple and gentle way to give your smile an amazing new look!

Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are a beautiful and natural looking way to brighten or reshape stained and damaged teeth. While they’re not suitable for every patient, veneers are the most aesthetic alternative for a variety of dental conditions involving the front teeth, including:
• Broken or chipped teeth
• Stained or washed out fillings
• Crooked or crowded teeth
• Spacing between teeth
• Permanently discolored teeth that can’t be whitened
There are many benefits and advantages to having porcelain veneers placed on your front teeth:
• The procedure takes as little as two appointments
• A minimal amount of tooth structure is removed during preparation
• A healthy “natural” look is achieved; in fact, porcelain veneers are the most aesthetic restoration in dentistry.
At the first appointment the teeth are prepared for the veneers. Impressions and photos are taken. From there, the ceramist will fabricate custom porcelain veneers made to yours and the dentist’s specifications. You will leave the initial appointment with beautiful temporaries that are designed to simulate your new smile. The second appointment involves the gentle removal of the temporaries. The veneers will then be permanently bonded to the teeth.
Veneers can last indefinitely, depending on how well they are taken care of. Because veneers are stronger than simple bonding, they are more resistant to stains and chipping. Regular oral hygiene visits and exams are recommended to maintain your new smile. This is to ensure that your new veneers will look as good as new. Another important point is that oral habits such as nail biting and chewing on hard objects damage natural teeth as well as your new veneers. Once the veneers are applied, you may treat them like your natural teeth. They look amazing and are extremely durable.
