Smiles 4 Success
We have received a tremendous amount of support from our patients, new and established, in supporting children’s charities. Smiles for Life and our alliance with KNIX radio helped us further our commitment in 2006 to giving back to our community. We were fortunate to participate in a second program this past year called Smiles 4 Success.
Smiles 4 Success is a non-profit organization helping disadvantaged valley residents re-enter the workforce with a smile. Their mission is to grant the miracle of self-worth, confidence and hope to women and men from difficult backgrounds. The program does this through smile makeovers donated by local dentists, along with hair, makeup, clothing, seminars and other gifts to lift each recipients appearance and self-confidence; empowering them toward greater success in life and the workplace. For more information on their total efforts, visit their website at www.smiles4success.org.
Harris Dental was graced with the opportunity to grant a smile makeover to Smiles 4 Success recipient Dale, who had the following story to share:
What a Difference a Smile Makes
"I became involved with the Smiles 4 Success program in June while participating in the Phoenix Rescue Mission’s rehabilitation program. It has been a very positive experience working with Dr. Harris and his team, as they are some of the most caring, loving, affirming individuals I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Because of their care and expertise I now have a smile that I am most proud of and the resulting gain in confidence and self-esteem make me feel as if I can overcome all and once again become a positive, functioning, productive person. I am looking forward to helping make a difference in someone else’s life as Dr. Harris and his team have done in mine. All I can say is, ‘I love you guys and you have made such a difference in my life…thanks! You will always have a special place in my heart."
